OUR PROJECT

The Problem

  1. Soil degradation caused by overgrazing

  2. Destruction of forest trees caused by grazing in the Mau forest

  3. Persistent drought caused by less tree cover.

  4. Depending on livestock as the only source of income.

The Solution

i. Planting boma Rhodes grass for all-season fodder.

ii. Planting Trees on part of land remaining after planting grass for fodder.
